What is dribble.org.uk?
Dribble is a repository of additional software for use with Fedora. Dribble provides packages with a focus on fun software that is not
already found in Fedora or Livna because they do not meet their stricter requirements. Dribble concentrates on multimedia, games and emulators
yet is not limited to these genres. Dribble will not replace any packages found in Fedora or Livna but is designed to be used in conjuction
with those repositories.
What Fedora versions do you support?
We support all versions of Fedora that are not in legacy status, plus devel. Currently this is Fedora 7, 8 and 9 (devel). For versions
of Fedora that enter legacy status, the repository will remain, however it will not be added to nor updated except in extreme circumstances.
Currently Fedora 4-6 is considered to be in legacy status.
What architectures do you support?
We attempt to support all possible architectures, across all supported Fedora versions. Currently this is i386, x86_64 and ppc, however we do
not currently support ppc64. ppc64 systems can however still use the ppc repo.
Why do I see i686 (or similar) RPMs in i386?
Some RPMs are built from binary distributions because the source code is not available, although building from source is always
preferred. In these cases, we have little or no control over how the binaries were compiled. So if they were compiled for i686, then
they must be presented in an i686 RPM.
How do I report a bug?
Please report all bugs using the Dribble Bugzilla reporting system. This includes bugs with RPMs as well as bugs related to infrastructure,
such as this website.
Does Dribble support access to the repo using FTP?
Currently, Dribble does not support ftp access to the repo.
Does Dribble support access to the repo via Rsync?
Yes, access to Dribble's RPM repository is available via rsync. Please see the configuration page for further details.
I've found an RPM in Dribble which is also in Fedora/Livna, what should I do?
This is considered a bug and is most likely a consequence of an RPM subsequently becoming available in those repos. Please file a bug
against the package in Dribble Bugzilla requesting removal.
I would like to see an RPM for package X. What should I do?
Place a
request in the wiki and hopefully a maintainer will decide
to pick it up. If however you wish to see an additional feature added to an
existing package, please file a bug against it in
bugzilla.
